The university has uplifted its profile and raised in position in terms of providing quality education to the undergrad and postgrad students. Recently in 2019, AUM earned a No. 33 ranking among regional public universities in the South from U.S. News & World Report. It is known for its diverse community comprised of students from various ethnicities and backgrounds. As a result, it is 13th most diverse in the South region with more than 40 nationalities represented.

The university is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers over 90 undergraduate and graduates unique degree programs and certifications spread within the College of Business, College of Education, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the College of Sciences.

Students can gain practical experience from award-winning faculty members whose academic expertise is often enriched by industry experience. We have a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio so that students can receive individual attention and supervision by the teachers. We make high-quality education affordable by providing various scholarships to the locals as well as international. Approximately 40% of AUM student’s area awarded with scholarship assistance including scholarships designated for incoming freshmen, transfer students, international students, and graduate students.

We offer a diverse, close-knit and vibrant campus community with more than 70 student clubs and organizations. Its athletic program is flourishing as a new member of NCAA Division II membership and the Gulf South Conference.

Montgomery is the capital of Alabama; a diverse city with a deep, rich and blooming history. It has a plethora of restaurants, entertainment venues, and an amphitheater.

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is based in Alabama, United States. It is governed by the Auburn University Board of Trustees and is a branch campus of Auburn University.

AUM consists of two Colleges, business, and arts & sciences and two Schools education and nursing – which offer study programs leading to bachelors, masters, and specialist degrees in business, education, liberal arts, nursing, and sciences

Student Support
There is so much more than world-class academics at AUM. It has 60 student organizations that engage students in various departments and projects. It provides opportunities for students to broaden their experiences far beyond the classroom. Students can pursue their passion and interest from Student Government to Greek Life and clubs and organizations to intramural sports.

The university sport’s club is very active within the campus life. It is currently sponsoring 11 varsity sports; men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, baseball, softball and volleyball and compete in the Gulf South Conference. AUM enjoys a rich history of great teams as well as intramural sports leagues
